en français: Bonsoir! Je suis français, d’origine française, anglaise et galloise. Malheureusement, je ne parle pas le tok pisin. Pourquoi suis-je ici, alors? Je m’intéresse à l’Océanie (son histoire, ses cultures, ses sociétés, ses politiques…), et j’ai lu plein de bouquins et d’articles à ce sujet. Si tu as des questions sur ces sujets, je serais ravi d’essayer d’y répondre, et ainsi peut-être contribuer indirectement, un tout petit peu, à la version tok pisin de Wikipédia.
Et puis, bien sûr, tu es toi-même un expert sur la Papouasie-Nouvelle-Guinée. Si tu veux m'apprendre quelque chose, pour que je le rajoute à la version francophone de Wikipédia, je serais ravi de le faire!
in English: Good evening! I’m a Frenchman, of French, English and Welsh descent. Unfortunately, I do not speak Tok Pisin. So why am I here? I have a strong interest in Oceania (its history, its cultures, its societies and politics…), and I’ve read heaps of books and articles in those fields. So if you have any questions on those topics, I’d be happy to do my best to reply – and perhaps thereby contribute indirectly, in some small way, to the Tok Pisin Wikipedia.
Conversely, you, of course, are an expert on Papua New Guinea. If you'd like to teach me something about PNG so that I can add it to the French Wikipedia, I'd be more than happy to do so!
