English: Original drawing of the Australian coat of arms as shown in Commons at this page, with the background made transparent. The Coat of Arms of Australia is the official symbol of Australia. The initial coat of arms was granted by King Edward VII on 7 May 1908, and the current version, shown here, was granted by King George V on 19 September 1912. This page was sent to the Prime Minister of Australia's department with the following note: His Excellency the Governor General directs the publication, for general information, of the enclosed certified copy of the Royal Warrant granting Armorial Ensigns and Supporters to the Commonwealth of Australia. Andrew Fisher, Prime Minister.
