This category consist of templates which return the ISO 639 name of a language based primarily on the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 or ISO 639-3 codes for the language. They are used in template {{Lang}} (which in turn is used by many other templates) to categorise articles which contain text in non-English languages.

• ISO 639-3 Example: {{ISO 639 nem fre}} -> French

Other "codes" can be used at the discretion of the maintainers of the templates: For example zh-t for traditional Chinese, or allowing full names to translate to themselves (e.g. French -> French)
