Nonkilling[edit source]

Hi! I was wondering if you would help me creating an article for "nonkilling" in Dutch. The English version is available at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nonkilling (but the first paragraph -or line even- would do!). Thank you in advance! --Cgnk 22:33, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

100% agree with that. I helped start the project one and half year ago, but only two or three native speakers contributed. I even wrote e-mails to people on the Internet asking for help.

Please give him feedback on how mad he make us on his page for discusion here. He also thinks New Guinea peoples is stupid. Click on "history" and, you can see how condescending he is before. If we join together we can overpower him tyranny.

I am truly sorry that I made you mad. It was not my intention whatsoever, on the contrary.

I am not condescending. As you said, "before", I wrote very clumsily, and I am trying to improve.

I don't think anyone is stupid. I used material I found on the Internet. I may make mistakes, but anytime I was told by Wikipedist not to do such or such, I stopped and corrected myself.

There is absolutely no "tyranny" either. On the contrary. I would be extremely happy if people wrote new articles and corrected existing articles.

Please help, and please help other people to participate.

For the moment, I am very, very happy that you came in and started correcting my bad articles. Please continue, I will not write new articles until you are finished.

Well, isn't this expression condescending to Italian people and to elderly? Just joking. I'll cut the last part of the sentence from the Main Page, if you don't mind.

Sorry again. Thank you for helping!

Two months later...

So, where are you? I completely withdrawed from this Wikipedia for more than TWO MONTHS, and nothing has improved. So much for "overpower him tyranny". Since the day you stepped in insulting grand-mothers and Italians, you haven't make ONE correction, you didn't propose ONE change, you didn't bring ONE person in.

Was I condescending? Was I mistaken about your ability to rule the place? Having high self-esteem is not enough. It doesn't even matter. What counts is what you do, how much you work, and how you cooporate. Look at the list of wikipedia languages, and you'll see where you are. Some famous Wikipedist wrote that small wikipedias may not have the reserve of users to make them viable. I was shocked at first when I read this because I thought that people of all languages and culture could contribute, some bringing their work, some other their knowledge, some other their language skills. But 24.251.198.156's reaction is interesting because it shows that such cooperation may be impossible. A metaphor of the relationship between cultures and countries?

Best. --Milaiklainim 04:50, 19 July 2005 (UTC)

Where can I learn Tok Pisin?[edit source]

Milaiklainim, I'm glad that Wikipedia is working on a page in Tok Pisin. I would like to learn Tok Pisin because my parents are moving to PNG and they are going to learn it when they get there. Can you suggest a website that teaches Tok Pisin? I would like to help with the Tok Pisin Wikipedia once I understand the language.

I don't know of any site that provides comprehensive TP lessons, but you can get insights about the language and free online dictionaries (see for instance the links at the bottom of http://www.answers.com/topic/tok-pisin).

If you want to learn, as a start, I suggest to get the Lonely Planet Papua New Guinea Pidgin phrasebook. It is a very small (and cheap) phrasebook with basic vocabulary and phrases. It is so small that learning it completly by heart should not take more than a few weeks.

Thank you for offering your help.

Cheers. --Milaiklainim 00:16, 31 August 2005 (UTC)

Greetings Milaiklainim, Can you please help me create a stub for this article? It is based on this English article -- 3-5 lines would be sufficient enough. Please. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. (I do not know what the correct title should be) -- Jose77 4 march 2006
